612-Pound Tuna Sold For $3 million

According to Business Insider, Restaurateur Kiyoshi Kimura has paid a record-breaking $3.1 million for the first tuna sold in 2019 at Tokyo's brand new Toyosu Fish Market. The fish was officially weighed in at a whopping 613 pounds. Toyosu Fish market has recently replaced the legendary Tsukiji Fish Market, which, for decades was famous as the best place in the world to get fresh fish. Toyosu has improved refrigeration, earthquake resistance, and sanitation facilities while keeping up the tradition of selling fish to restauranteurs.
