Tonight through tomorrow night, a storm pushing through will produce snow on its northern fringe and thunderstorms along the Gulf Coast. Behind it, colder air pushes into the South causing freezes almost all the way to the Gulf Coast. Persistent northwesterly flow behind the storm leads to more snow in the Appalachians through Thursday. Meanwhile, warmth starts to build back in Texas at midweek and will spread eastward later in the week. The next couple of storms will pass by to our north, and a trailing cold front will generate rain and thunderstorms, possibly severe storms west of the Mississippi.
