It was time for Kevin Kisner to pay up.

Kisner accepted a bet from Justin Thomas prior to Monday's College Football Playoff National Championship between Alabama and Georgia, with the loser having to wear the other school's jersey on the 17th hole at this week's Sony Open.

With Thomas' Crimson Tide rallying to upend Kisner's Bulldogs in a fantastic overtime game, the two-time PGA Tour winner was forced to don the Alabama jersey during Thursday's opening round.

I pay my bets and I will wear this jersey on 17 @SonyOpenHawaii today. I will also get @JustinThomas34 to sign it and I will raffle it off to benefit @KizFoundation as well as a @FootballUGA jersey signed by both. We will send out the link tomorrow!— Kevin Kisner (@K_Kisner) January 11, 2018

Ironically, both Thomas and Kisner were paired together in Round 1, giving the reigning PGA Tour Player of the Year a front-row seat for the occasion at the par-3 17th.

The No. 16 represents the number of national titles Alabama had claimed before Monday's victory in Atlanta.
