Fred Hoiberg's services appear to be in high demand after a series of high-profile firings in both the collegiate and professional coaching ranks.

The free-agent coach has been linked to UCLA, which fired Steve Alford last week, and the Timberwolves, who dismissed Tom Thibodeau on Sunday. Although Minnesota has also reportedly discussed Hoiberg as a potential front-office hire, the 46-year-old remains committed to finding a job on the sidelines.

"My passion is in coaching," Hoiberg told ESPN's Zach Lowe, "and I'm looking forward to what lies ahead."

Hoiberg hasn't decided if he prefers remaining among the NBA ranks or returning to the NCAA, where he coached Iowa State to a 115-56 record over five seasons from 2010-15.

"I am not prioritizing one over the other in respect to the NBA and college," Hoiberg said. "The jobs are so different that you cannot compare them, so I plan on evaluating whatever opportunities may come independently."

The Chicago Bulls fired Hoiberg earlier in the season. He owns a 115-155 NBA head coaching record for his career.
