One of the top 2019 recruits will be making the jump to the collegiate level sooner than expected.

Five-star power forward Akok Akok has decided to leave Connecticut's Putnam Science Academy to enroll in college for its second semester.

"Since I have already graduated high school, it makes sense at this point that I study at home for the SAT, which I am taking for the first time on Dec. 1," Akok told 247Sports' Evan Daniels.

Akok added: "I will be focusing on the SAT in the immediate future and will then address basketball to determine what college is the best fit for me."

His shortlist currently stands at five programs: Connecticut, Georgetown, Pittsburgh, Providence, and Syracuse.

The 6-foot-10 big man ranks No. 40 on the ESPN Top 100 for the class of 2019 and No. 31 in the 247Sports composite rankings.
