Wisconsin offensive lineman Jon Dietzen is retiring due to injuries from his playing career, he announced on Twitter on Monday.

Dietzen started 32 games for Wisconsin in his career, including 12 games at left tackle this past season. He missed one game due to injury this past season and battled injuries during the 2017 campaign.

"This was not an easy decision, as I have enjoyed every second of my football career, especially those as a Wisconsin Badger," Dietzen, a three-year starter, wrote.

Dietzen had surgery before the 2018 season to repair a torn labrum in each hip.

Now without Dietzen, the Badgers will return just one starting offensive lineman this fall.
