For its latest Metiers d'Art show, Chanel took show-goers back to designer Karl Lagerfeld's hometown, staging the presentation in Hamburg, Germany. From the concert hall venue to the designs and the models who wore them, here's what you need to know about the maison's pre-fall show. The Venue

The newly-opened Elbphilharmonie concert hall served as a stunning backdrop for the show. Editors, influencers, clients, and fashion lovers received opera glasses (who didn't Instagram those?) to watch the models parade through the venue as a live symphony played along.

The Front Row

All eyes were on Tilda Swinton as she walked in, but the star wasn't the only Lagerfeld darling in the house. Kristen Stewart, Lily Rose Depp, Marjorie Harvey, and a host of other celebs, took in the 87-look show. The Clothes

Pre-Fall is traditionally the most wearable collection from designer brands and Lagerfeld did not disappoint. Inspired by German culture of the 1960s, the collection opened with a series of must-have chunky knit sweater dresses teamed with slouchy legwarmers. Signature tweed suits in an array of colors from gray, to red and white, to maroon and black filled in the middle of the show, while black and white evening looks served as the finale. Each of the looks was topped off with a cap made by Maison Michel.

The Models

Since Lily Rose Depp sat front row this season, Kaia Gerber, who counts this as her second ever Chanel show, was the one to watch. Chanel vets Anna Ewers, Soo Joo Park, and Hudson Kroenig (who, yes, is a vet at even 9 years old) joined Gerber on the runway.
