Those sweltering in the summer heat got a chance to cool down with actors Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding because the trailer for Last Christmas, the latest holiday romantic comedy, was released on Wednesday.

Last Christmas features Clarke, a cynical "elf" working at a Christmas store, and Golding, an optimistic do-gooder. The two meet and continue bumping into each other until they fall in love. Along the way, Clarke reveals parts of her past that are far less jolly than the holiday season emits and viewers learn what it takes to piece a family who's dealt with hardship back together.

Co-written by actor Emma Thompson, who is also in the movie and starred in the well-known holiday romantic comedy Love Actually, the film features music by singer George Michael, who passed away on Christmas in 2016. Along with some of Michael's previously unreleased material, the movie will also include the singer's great holiday classic Last Christmas.

Paul Feig, the director of the film, known for Bridesmaids and A Simple Favor, told Entertainment Weekly that Michael was aware of the film, which gave Feig "such joy." While the people who worked on the film feel like "he's here with us," Feig admitted that there is a "great sadness" because Michael is no longer alive to be a part of the movie.

In the trailer, as Clarke's character bumps into Golding's on the street, viewers hear Michael's Last Christmas playing. Although many know the chorus, the release of the trailer called for a refresher on the lyrics of the song in its entirety. Per AZ Lyrics, the song goes as follows:

Last Christmas

I gave you my heart

But the very next day you gave it away

This year

To save me from tears

I'll give it to someone special

[Repeat chorus]

Once bitten and twice shy

I keep my distance

But you still catch my eye

Tell me, baby

Do you recognize me?

Well, it's been a year

It doesn't surprise me

Merry Christmas

I wrapped it up and sent it

With a note saying "I love you"

I meant it

Now I know what a fool I've been

But if you kissed me now

I know you'd fool me again

[Sing chorus two times]

Oh, oh, baby

A crowded room

Friends with tired eyes

I'm hiding from you

And your soul of ice

My god, I thought you were someone to rely on

Me? I guess I was a shoulder to cry on

A face on a lover with a fire in his heart

A man under cover, but you tore me apart

Now I've found a real love. You'll never fool me again

[Sing chorus two times]

A face on a lover with a fire in his heart

I gave you my heart

A man under cover, but you tore him apart

Maybe next year I'll give it to someone—

I'll give it to someone special

People gearing up for the holiday season will be able to see Last Christmas in theaters beginning on November 8.
