‘Million Dollar Listing New York’ Exclusive: Luis Encounters a Kitchen That Is “Too Clean”
Appearance is everything as Luis D. Ortiz learns as soon as he shows up to a new apartment listing on this week’s Million Dollar Listing New York. His partner Ronita questions him on his nails and his lack of a suit, but as Luis reminds her, “I’m here to sell something, not myself.” Plus, any adjustments to his appearance and there could be an arrest, as he tells her, “I cannot be more handsome than I am now, it’s illegal.”
As the pair step into the apartment, Luis notices right away that it has a “great vibe” and is nice and bright, noting that he’d “rather have four small windows than two big ones.”
“You can tell it’s designed with taste,” he says, marveling at the details including the lights, the windows, the oak floors, the bathroom tiles. “Every detail is made to perfection, it’s quality.”
But is it TOO perfect? As the owner shows them her teenage son’s room, it’s different from a typical teen bedroom because it’s immaculate. Like, a real teen boy inhabits this space?
Luis is also suspicious of the kitchen, because even though the owner claims she loves to cook, he says, “It’s too clean for someone to live here.”
As he side-eyes the space, he observes, “It’s a beautiful kitchen and I’m glad it’s kept this clean, but she’s definitely not Puerto Rican. If you see a Puerto Rican kitchen, it’s not like this,” he laughs.
Million Dollar Listing New York airs Thursday at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo.
