Before I get to the long range, a significant storm is expected to bring widespread snow then potential sleet, freezing rain and rain from Ontario through Quebec and into the Maritimes Tuesday into Wednesday. It is still too early to specify snow amounts, but this type of storm certainly could lead to significant travel disruptions across the region.

The map below shows that the core of the coldest air will remain in the West much of next week and perhaps into the following week with briefer, less potent cold shots into the East.
