Aunt Jemima, who? Vermont-based brand Coombs Family Farm has created a life-changing innovation-the "Maple Stream"-and it's about to revolutionize breakfast. But what exactly is this ingenious invention we speak of? How does it work?
Launching in July 2018, the one-of-a-kind can is a no-mess alternative to your usual pancake-dressing approach. Although advertised as "sprayable," the easy-to-use bottle dispenses the Organic Grade-A amber maple syrup in, well, a stream. The nozzle provides the perfect drizzle and desired amount. And while you can't really overdo it with syrup (we've got a "the more the merrier" mentality here at Delish), you get the point. This way, you have some control over the serving and avoid the turmoil of sticky hands, countertops, kids, and so on.
Not only is the product eco-friendly, but the ingredients are also clean. “Kids love maple, and there’s something inherently wholesome about a New England tradition and truly natural sweetener," Arnold Coombs said in a statement: “Parents are wanting convenience, but they’re also looking for unrefined sugars and unprocessed food in general.”
Coombs Family Farms, a seventh generation producer of pure and organic maple, has called the business "our heritage, our lifeblood, and our true calling." They've spent over 150 years creating products free of toxic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, and GMOs. According to the press release, they also continue to practice sustainable forestry methods.
The Maple Stream, which is available online and through national grocery retailers, is packaged in 7-ounce recyclable cans for $7.99. We are buying them ALL...if you don't beat us to it.
