'Big Bang Theory' star Mayim Bialik shuts down inappropriate remark with cool sarcasm
Mayim Bialik's response to trolling is head and shoulders above the rest.
"The Big Bang Theory" star, who plays Amy Farrah Fowler on the hit CBS comedy, poked back at a fan who left an unsolicited comment about her chest on Instagram.
"Who knew this would make my day?" Bialik, 43, captioned a picture of herself posing with Pokémon character Pikachu Sunday, noting that there's "not a stain on my shirt although I often do have stains on my shirt."
But it was not the actress' mediation necklace or new haircut that caught one follower's attention. "Damn a bit bustier than I thought," one user commented, according to Yahoo.
Bialik hit back with sarcasm. "Thanks so much for noticing. It’s the most important thing about me," she quipped during an exchange that has since been deleted.
Social media users applauded Bialik for sticking up for herself.
"Thank you for ignoring rude people who have nothing better to do with their life than be disrespectful to one of the best actresses of our time. I for one am very grateful for having the honor to call you 'instagram friend,'" user @loclog said.
@Amberskeensa added: "That clap back on that rude comment makes me love you even more. It’s a shame that’s all most people see when they look at someone."
Others attempted to defend the inappropriate remark.
"He was talking about Pikachu," @keynilla joked.
@Garrettegordon8 argued for everyone to "let men be men," adding that, "It’s not shameful to say you are blessed with an awesome rack."
Bialik has more important things to meditate on. "The Big Bang Theory" end its 12-season run on May 16.
