Some of pop music’s most talented vocalists have served as judges on NBC’s The Voice over the past 15 seasons. And the show just revealed the latest addition to that venerable list. The Hollywood Reporter announced today, September 13th, that John Legend will be judging Season 16 of The Voice, along with Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine.

Legend is no stranger to the showAccording to E! Online, he served as Levine’s adviser in Season 12, helping guide the team through battle rounds. Given Legend’s previous experience and the fact that he just became an EGOT with his performance in Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, he seems like the perfect choice.

NBC seems excited to have Legend on board as well. Paul Telegdy, president of the alternative and reality group at NBC, told THR that the singer has “remarkable skills.”

The Voice Season 16 will premiere in spring 2019, and before that, you can catch Season 15 on Mondays and Tuesdays starting on September 24th. Good luck to all of this year’s contestants.
