If you live in certain Southern and Midwestern states, you'd better keep your winter gear handy! You're about to see even more snow, ice, freezing rain, and sleet this weekend.
A winter storm warning has been issued for parts of Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Arkansas, and much of the Midwest for today and Saturday, according to The Weather Channel. Winter storm "Hunter" will also bring freezing temperatures and treacherous driving conditions through Saturday night as it makes its way north.

Southern cities like Nashville, Memphis, and Louisville should expect to see 1-3 inches of snow today and tomorrow, though meteorologists warn it's the freezing rain and ice that will make for dangerous conditions. This new winter storm comes just a week after winter storm Grayson (a.k.a the bomb cyclone) blasted much of the United States.
Further south in parts of Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, residents will see snow and freezing rain this evening, according to The Seattle Times. In anticipation of the weather, there were many school and office closures today.
The same storm will hit much of the east coast and north over the weekend, but it will likely come as rain in those areas experiencing warmer temperatures. In the Washington, D.C. area, storm Hunter will bring rain and cause a drastic drop in temperature, according to The Washington Post. The warmer weather brought a high of 65 today, which will go down to 15 degrees tonight.
No matter where you live-think of this wintry mix as the perfect excuse to stay inside and read a good book!
