Country star Tim McGraw gave his fans a scare on Sunday when he collapsed on stage during a concert in Dublin. According to his representative, he had been suffering from dehydration, and was treated by local medical staff.
One day later, it seemed like the treatment worked. People reports that McGraw was photographed leaving a hotel in London with his wife and tourmate, Faith Hill, and gave a thumbs up to photographers.
McGraw had just finished singing “Humble and Kind” during the Country to Country festival when he fell to his knees, then sat down on the stage. About twenty minutes later, Hill went on stage and told fans he wouldn’t keep playing that night.
"As the lights dipped to black, McGraw walked to the side of the stage where he appeared to trip," an eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight. "[Then] the band and crew rushed to his aid and he was taken offstage. There was confusion in the crowd when the lights went back up until an announcer said there was a medical issue.”
“We’ve all been a little bit dehydrated, traveling so much,” Hill told the crowd. “He's been super dehydrated and I apologize, but I made the decision that he cannot come back out onstage.”
McGraw also has some time to fully recover - his next tour date isn’t until May 31, when his Soul2Soul tour with Hill plays Richmond, Virginia. "[Tim] and Faith thank everyone for their love and support and look forward to seeing their Irish fans again soon,” their representative said in a statement.
