Home for the Holidays and Live Proud™ Sweeps

For many LGBT individuals, the holidays can be a complicated and emotional time. While some of us journey home to be with our biological families, many of us choose to celebrate with our chosen families instead.

AT&T understands the importance of finding your chosen family and expanding the concept of home to include all the people you love, whether they’re friends, mentors, sponsors, or collaborators. That’s why we’ve been at the forefront of LGBT rights in the workplace since 1975, when we became one of the first Fortune 500 companies to include a non-discrimination policy to protect LGBT-identified employees. Our commitment to the community didn’t stop there. In 1987, we established LEAGUE, an employee resource group for LGBT employees and allies that remains one of the oldest in the country. In the past few years, we’ve made sure to include domestic partner and Transgender-inclusive benefit programs for our workers.

Today, we’re staying true to the promise we made decades ago by sponsoring the 7th annual True Colors Fund Home for the Holidays benefit concert in New York City on December 9th. We’ll be contributing $100,000 in the form of sponsorship and donation arrangements to Cyndi Lauper’s organization working to eradicate LGBT youth homelessness, and we’ll also give you a chance to win a trip to NYC and tickets to the show for yourself and three friends. By using the #HelpLGBTyouth on Instagram, you’ll get a shot at seeing incredible artists like Cyndi Lauper and Wrabel perform live and help end the LGBT homelessness epidemic.

What could be better than to spend the holidays rocking out for a great cause with your chosen family members by your side?
